Other Sides to the Conversation: Week of February 11th

First X-Men trailer! It looks great.

Anyway... Here are somethings upon which you click, which will take you to new things, upon which you can read.

Anomolous Material asks what critically and commercially acclaimed movie was lost on you? For me, it's Titanic.

Dearly Devoted Dylan over at Blog Cabins goes ahead with Part II of his Grading the Movie Studio Logos series.

James of Cinema Sights takes a look at one of the best movies of 2010, Never Let Me Go

And finally, Hatter presents his own bastardized take on Jess' Mashup Game. I hope he adds more.

Other Sides to the Conversation: Week of February 4th

Uhhh... yeah. JoGo's in The Dark Knight Rises. That's all the news that's fit to print this week.

What are you looking at?

Anyway. Here are some things upon which you can click, which will take you to other things, upon which you can read.

Film Intel gives their opinion on a personal guilty pleasure, Black Dynamite. He and I couldn't have more differing opinions on the matter.

In another installment of his ongoing, IS IT JUST ME, series, Kai voices the question that's been plaguing a lot of people, whether or not Toy Story 3 should be nominated for Best Picture.

The m0vie blog looks at another casting rumor tied to The Dark Knight Rises. This one is interesting, to say the least.

And finally, Fletch, Hatter, and I have all made the decision that Disqus, while a fun experiment, failed to deliver the goods, and, as such, we have switched back to Blogger's regular comment system.

These are trying times we live in. Keep your head on a swivel. Travel in packs. And always carry your sword. You'll be ok!

Other Sides To the Conversation: Week of January 13th

I figured I should probably start doing one of these. You know, share the love, as it were. I mean, everyone else it writing such great stuff, and how do I thank them! I'm a bastard, I know, but I'm trying to redeem myself, man! It's hard work!

Anyway, this'll become a weekly thing in the vein of Hatter's Everyone's Talking feature. So, for your reading pleasure, here are some things upon which you click, and they will take you to new things, which you can read! Enjoy!

Fletch is back! 5 posts in 6 days? Say it ain't so! Get caught up on all things Blog Cabins with this week's State of the Cabins.

Castor at Anomolous Material is hosting the second Hollywood Fantasy Draft. The pitches have started to come in, and they are juicy, to say the least. Here's a pitch from Steve of 1001Plus.

Marshall managed to score an early screening of The Dilemma. Lucky bastard! Unfortunately, according to him, it's not very good. Here's his review.

Hatter caught a glimpse of what Rooney Mara as the new Lisbeth Salander looks like, and gets the conversation going on the subject. Take part.

Nick is continuing with his ambitious 60 Weeks/60 Movies project. Here's his review of a personal favorite, Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels.

Yeah...

LAMBcast #51: Digital Illusions

In which Dylan, James, and I shoot the shit on Tron: Legacy, talk Kevin Smith's new film, and play some Remember the Time. It was a lot fun being on the cast again, and can't wait to do it for real again come summer. Take a gander.

July 29, 2010

LAMBcast #32: Dream a Little Dream of Me

In which Dylan, Nick, Rachel, Tom, and I go in depth about that tricky little flick, Inception. We talk about the ending, for, I don't know, a good 20 minutes, among other things. This long as hell conversation is followed up by a few games of Last Lamb Standing, one which I handily won, and then some heated Trailer Talk. Enjoy!

July 11, 2010

LAMBcast #29: Animation Domination

On this episode of the LAMBcast, Dylan, Jess, Tom, and I discuss one thing, and one thing only. Pixar. It got kind of epic when we were recording, so this one was split into two episodes. Part 2 will be coming later.

July 2, 2010

LAMBcast #28: Dog Days

In which Nick of Random Rambings of a Demented Doorknob, Dylan of Blog Cabins, Jason of Invasion of the B Movies, Branden of Foolish Blatherings, and myself, discuss this summer at the movies, and why it sucks. It's followed up by a few games of Last Lamb Standing and some heated Trailer Talk. Enjoy.

Look At This!!

Here's the latest episode of the LAMBcast that I contributed to. In it, Dylan of Blog Cabins, Marshall of Marshall and the Movies, Nick of Random Ramblings of a Demented Doorknob, and myself talk about Get Him to the Greek, what makes a good comedy, and two trailers that have been circulating the web. You can't really hear me at some points. I wasn't able to use my external mic, seeing as the computer is new and doesn't have a mic jack, for some reason! That will be remedied by the time I contribute again, which I plan to do. Enjoy!
